Tool mechanics manufacture punching tools and bending devices for industrial serial production. They also produce metal or plastic parts and work on metals e.g. by drilling, milling, turning, grinding, and filing. They precisely adhere to the dimensions specified by technical drawings. In addition to manual processing methods, tool mechanics use CNC machine tools, which they may program themselves if necessary. They assemble individual parts into finished tools and test them for correct functionality.
Electronics technicians specializing in machine and drive technology undertake tasks in the assembly, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical machines and drive systems. They set up production machines e.g. for armature windings of electric motors and assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components. Furthermore, electronics technicians commission electrical machines or set up drive systems and lines. In case of malfunctions, they conduct fault diagnostics.
Industrial clerks manage business processes. In materials management, they compare offers, negotiate with suppliers, and oversee goods receipt and storage. Industrial clerks are also responsible for developing calculations and price lists and conducting sales negotiations with customers. Our trainees also work in the areas of financial accounting, human resources, and marketing.
IT specialists in the field of system integration plan and configure networks. They connect hardware and software components and instruct users. They also identify and rectify malfunctions and errors professionally.
Industrial mechanics specializing in maintenance monitor and optimize manufacturing processes, undertake repair and maintenance tasks on systems and machines, and ensure smooth production processes. They ensure the operational readiness of machine tools, inspect, maintain, and service operating resources, and document the activities performed. Additionally, they analyze control engineering documents and apply control engineering.
Since its founding in 1924, AKH has been committed to training young professionals in the field of electric motor construction, thus providing young people with a qualified entry into the profession. We understand this to be more than an investment in the future of the company because a high level of qualification is also beneficial for the apprentices and, last but not least, good for the region – and therefore a social obligation for us. Our apprentices rotate through the various departments of our company.
The long-term retention of apprentices within the company is a stated goal.
The standard training period is 3 to 3.5 years.
